The Oconee County Board of Education at its Regular Meeting on May 14, 2007, approved new school district zones. The zoning will go into effect for the middle and high school students for the 2008-2009 school year. The elementary school zones will go into effect for the 2009-2010 school year. Below we have provided links to the approved maps. In addition, you will find the corresponding street listing which will assist you in determining the elementary, middle and high school for your address. The Board also approved Administrative Procedures governing early movers and grandfathering (i.e., student who are exempted from the new zone lines for a specified period of time). A link is also provided to the Administrative Procedures.
Only rezoned rising 9th graders from Oconee County Middle School (OCMS) will be given an opportunity to transfer early to North Oconee High School (NOHS). (The lack of classroom space made it impossible to accommodate early movers at all other schools.)
If you have questions about the new school zone maps for 2008-2009, please contact your school's principal or call the office of Student Support Services at 706-769-3506.
