Dr. Meri Blackburn

 

Dr. Blackburn has lived in the Athens area since 1983 and currently resides in Watkinsville with her husband, Tony, and their children, Matthew and Ali.  She began her teaching career at Clarke Central High School where she taught Spanish and Special Education.  She also served as master scheduler, after school coordinator, and IB/Gifted coordinator for several years before becoming Assistant Principal at North Oconee in 2013.  In 2016, Dr. Blackburn accepted the position of principal at Malcom Bridge Middle School and is delighted to serve the MBMS students and families!
