The PTO of Oconee County High School will award two, $500 EPOCHS scholarships to deserving senior students. The scholarships are given to recognize students who have made a difference in the lives of others, and their own, through involvement in school/community/work activities. Academic achievement, test scores, financial need and gender are not considered. Applications may be picked up in the Counseling Office and must be turned in to Mr. Guthas by Friday, April 1.
The primary purpose of the Oconee Lions Club Youth Citizenship Award is to recognize the achievements of two OCHS seniors who provide evidence of the following criteria: 1. Good citizenship 2. An active interest in the civil, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community 3. A record of service to the community without personal financial reward. The amount of the award is $1,000. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling Office and must be turned in by 3:00 PM on April 22.
We are seeking parent feedback on a state survey that will be used to calculate our School Climate Star Rating. Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education to calculate the rating. Click the image for details.

Oconee County High School is pleased to announce the seniors named as Commended Students in the 2016 National Merit Program. Commended Students are being recognized for the academic promise shown on the 2014 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) last October. There are about 34,000 Commended Students being recognized throughout the nation. Over 1.5 million students took the 2014 PSAT. The students from Oconee County High School are Jack Edelen, Mengqiao Gao, Godfrey Hendrix, Johanna Hoover, Cameron Mallett, Tyler Ortel and John Parker.
