PBIS - Positive Behavior Intervention Support

Oconee Primary School has established a positive behavior success program for the entire school.  The program is a researched-based, positive program to recognize students for appropriate behavior.  Each student who shows respect, responsibility, and readiness is acknowledged with praise, prizes, and celebrations.

Thanks for Shopping at the OCPS Book Fair!

The book fair was a huge success! Thanks to all families and students for stopping by and helping our school buy more technology.  Our total profits were $2,200, and we will be purchasing new iPads for student use in media center lessons.

 Congratulations to Ms. Katie Braden, OCPS Fall Book Fair Queen!  She will be reigning book fair queen until the Spring fair.  All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards All for Books, and purchasing more books for OCPS teachers and students.  We raised $818!!


Georgia Parent Survey

The Georgia Parent Survey for the 2014-2015 school year is available. It will be open from November 3, 2014- February 27, 2015. The results from the survey will be used by the Georgia Department of Education to calculate a statewide accountability rating called the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). Please visit the following link to participate in this important survey that will be published statewide as a component of the new accountability system.

Parent Volunteer Information

Volunteers who spend extended, independent time with students in schools are now required to review training materials provided by the Georgia Department of Education and complete a volunteer information form. Such individuals should use the links below to access the materials and the form, and return the completed form to the appropriate school principal. Thank you.

Wee Read Program - Free Books for Kids Age Birth-5

Wee Read delivers a free, age-appropriate book along with an interactive parent newsletter through the U.S. mail every month to children from birth until their 5th birthday. Wee Read is sponsored by the United Way, and books are provided by the Dolly Parton Foundation. There is absolutely no cost to parents to receive books for their children. Please complete the Wee Read Registration form or sign up online at www.wee-read.org
