Degrees and Certifications:

Miriam Voyles

As a graduate of the University of Georgia in English Education, I began teaching in 2006. I obtained my Master's Degree in English Education in 2009. I have previously taught English/Language Arts in 12th, 11th, 8th, 7th, and 6th grades, as well as journalism, public speaking, and creative writing. I am gifted certified, and have taught honors and advanced at all grade levels.

Of all the grades I have taught, I have a special love for seventh graders. Seventh grade is such a pivotal time between childhood and teenage years, and I enjoy seeing the impact I make as a seventh grade teacher.

I have two sons who were raised in the Oconee County School System (blue side!). When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, and reading. I look forward to another great year here at OCMS!
