Mrs. Clare Eggleston
My name is Clare Eggleston and I graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. I hold Music K-12 certification as well as Orff-Schulwerk Level 1 certification. I am a member of the Georgia Music Educator's Association (GMEA), the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE). I've been teaching elementary music since 2004 and have also taught in Rock Hill, SC and in Jackson County, GA.
From a very young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I, like many other future teachers, lined up my dolls and barbies and taught them "school" when I was a little girl. I even tried to teach my baby sister when she would let me. I have always enjoyed teaching children in various capacities - from working at Vacation Bible School to afterschool programs. I come from a very musical family and played the piano and cello and was a vocal major in college. This musical background and love for children inspired me to become a music teacher. I have a passion for providing fun, novel, and interactive lessons for my students. My goal is to get them singing, playing, and moving each time they come to my room. It is truly a joy to share this passion with the wonderful students of High Shoals each day!
