My name is Mobley Brandenburg. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Ben Brandenburg, and we have 2 sweet girls, Abby (5) & Shelby (3). I’m originally from Augusta, GA. I attended Georgia College and State University from 2004-2006. In 2006, I transferred to UGA and was accepted into the Child & Family Development PK-2 emphasis program. In 2009, I had the opportunity to participate in the C.O.S.T. program and complete my student teaching in Geelong, Australia. I taught in a combined Grade 1 & 2 classroom. My experience overseas helped me gain new perspectives and shaped my overall teaching philosophy.

In 2010, I earned my Masters in Early Childhood Education from UGA. This same year I worked as a long-term sub in a second grade classroom at Oconee Primary School. During the 2010-2011 school year, I taught first grade at Augusta Preparatory Day School. I got married and moved back to Athens in July of 2011.  I have been a first grade teacher at Rocky Branch since the 2011-2012 school year. In 2016, I completed my Gifted Endorsement.

RBES is a special place. First graders bring me so much JOY and I love having the opportunity to love on them every day. I am looking forward to getting to know you and watching your child grow throughout this school year! In my free time I enjoy taking pictures and traveling.
