• Service Models

PACE 2 Identified gifted students are provided these services through various models:
    • Resource Classes – Gifted students meet one segment daily with a gifted certified instructor. Resource curriculum is founded upon the Georgia curriculum standards delivered through interdisciplinary enrichment activities.
    • Advanced Content - Students are homogeneously grouped on the basis of achievement and interests. Groups may include identified gifted students as well students who are not identified as gifted, but who demonstrate exceptional ability and motivation in a particular content area.
    • Cluster Grouping - Gifted students are placed as a group into an otherwise heterogeneous classroom, rather than being dispersed among all of the rooms/courses at a particular grade level. The classroom teacher, who is gifted certified, adjusts curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessments to meet the learning needs of the gifted students.
    • Collaboration - Gifted students are placed as a group into an otherwise heterogeneous classroom. Direct instruction is provided by the students’ regular classroom teacher who collaborates with a designated gifted teacher in order to adjust curriculum, teaching strategies, and assessments to meet the learning needs of the gifted students.
