My name is Mistie Waters, and I teach ELA at Malcom Bridge Middle School.  I did my undergrad at UGA, and hold a master’s and specialist degree in education.  I started my teaching career in Gwinnett County and moved to Carrollton City Schools for most of my career before returning home to Athens to teach in Jackson County before finally settling in at Oconee County Schools.   I've taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade ELA and social studies over many years, and I am very excited to be teaching in Oconee.  As a teacher, I believe that all students can be successful. I have three children who attend Oconee Schools: Sydney,  Audrey, and Hudson. As a UGA graduate, I yell, “GOOOOO DAWGS!”
