I am very excited for this school year at Oconee County Primary School! I began my career at Jefferson City Elementary in 2006 and then taught at Judia Jackson Harris Elementary in Athens. I graduated from Piedmont College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and received my Master's Degree from Brenau University also in Elementary Education. While teaching in Clarke County, I completed my Gifted Certification.

I strive to create a safe and fun learning environment for all of my students and hope that they leave each afternoon feeling respected and valued. I try to incorporate activities that will reach various learning styles while remaining engaging. I find it amazing to watch my students mature in the months we spend together. 

My husband and I grew up and live in Athens, Georgia with our son and daughter, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We love everything that Georgia has to offer and try to experience as much of our state as possible. We enjoy trips to the beach and to the mountains, working in the yard, and visiting the Farmer's Market on Saturdays! 

I am looking forward to a great school year with our Little Chiefs!
