Ms. Emily Paxson
My name is Emily Paxson and I am a first grade teacher. I grew up in Oconee County and I am excited about being a Little Chief at Oconee Primary. I started teaching in Clarke County in 2006. I taught pre-kindergarten and kindergarten. I received my Bachelor's in Science in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College and State University. I also received my Master's in Reading and Literacy from Walden University.
I love being a teacher and building foundational learning skills with my students. My goal is to create an inviting environment where students feel welcome and love to come to each day. In my classroom we focus on the whole child, working on academic and social emotional skills. Creating and fostering relationships with my students and their families is such an important part of being a teacher. I am so excited for this school year and look forward to all that we will do!
