Courtney Kerlin

My name is Courtney Kerlin, and I teach 4th grade at High Shoals Elementary. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with my Bachelor's and Master's in Early Childhood Education. Go Owls! I taught in Newton County Schools for 7 years in both 3rd and 4th grades, and this is my 3rd year in Oconee County Schools. I've taught all subjects, but I'm excited to continue to focus on reading and writing this year.

My husband, Ben, and I were married in March 2018 and live in Social Circle. We had our first child, Avery, in September and have enjoyed watching her grow and continue to keep us on our toes.

I'm honored to be a part of the High Shoals family and will bring passion, encouragement, and high expectations to the team. I want to help my students become lifelong learners, and I believe it starts right here in the classroom.
