Below you'll find everything you need to prepare for the first day of school, including important dates, required forms, transportation information, meal information, and helpful parent resources.
The Infinite Campus Parent Portal provides families with access to important student information, including grades, attendance, schedules, transportation, and more. Parents with multiple students will be able to access all of their children through a single Parent Portal account.
ParentSquare is the primary communication platform for district, school, and classroom messages. Parents automatically receive an account using the preferred email address and phone number listed in Infinite Campus.
We encourage all parents to activate their account, download the ParentSquare mobile app, and customize their notification preferences to choose when and how they receive messages.
With ParentSquare, you can:
Receive messages from the school via email, text, or app notification
Engage in two-way messaging with teachers and staff
All personal electronic devices for students in grades kindergarten through eighth must be turned off and stored away while on campus during the following hours:
Elementary Schools: 7:10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Middle Schools: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
This includes cell phones, smartwatches, AirPods and other wireless earbuds, smart glasses, and similar personal electronic devices.
These updated expectations are designed to reduce distractions, increase student engagement, strengthen peer interactions, and create learning environments where students can focus on instruction.

Oconee County Schools is a 1:1 technology district, meaning every student is issued a school-managed and monitored device to support classroom learning. Student Chromebooks are purchased through a five-year replacement cycle to ensure students have access to secure, up-to-date technology. These devices are protected through district security measures, including advanced firewall protections and device management policies.
Just as students are expected to care for materials checked out from the library properly, they are also responsible for using and maintaining their assigned device appropriately.
Students should follow these guidelines to help protect their Chromebook:
Always use the Chromebook on a flat, stable surface
Never carry the device by the screen or while it is open
Place the Chromebook carefully in a backpack to prevent it from being crushed or causing damage to the screen
Never toss, drop, or mishandle a backpack containing a Chromebook
Keep all food and liquids away from the Chromebook
Any damage beyond normal wear and tear may result in the student being responsible for repair or replacement costs. Please remind your student to treat their assigned device with care and respect so it remains a reliable learning tool throughout the school year.
New for 2026-27: Families with students who ride the bus can now use Where'sTheBus to view students' assigned bus information, real-time bus locations, and estimated arrival times.
Please review your child's transportation information in Infinite Campus before the first day of school. If transportation changes are needed, please update your information as soon as possible.
Daily Transportation Changes
If your child's afternoon transportation changes from their normal routine, a Transportation Change Request must be submitted through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal or app before the school's transportation change cutoff time.
Families who believe they may qualify for free or reduced-price meals should submit an application as soon as possible. Eligibility is based on federal income guidelines, and a new application is required each school year.
During the 2026-27 school year, students approved for reduced-price meals will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Funding provided by the Georgia Department of Education will cover the cost of reduced-price meals for eligible students.
Oconee County Schools is committed to providing students with nutritious, affordable meals that meet state and federal nutrition standards based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. Our meals are prepared and served by qualified school nutrition professionals and offer students a variety of healthy, appealing options each day.
Monthly breakfast and lunch menus are posted online and updated throughout the school year.
Oconee County Schools makes an optional Student Accident Insurance Plan available through K&K Insurance Group. The plan can help families cover eligible medical expenses resulting from covered accidents and may be used alongside other health insurance.
