I married my high school sweetheart in 1975 and traveled around the world with him for the next 22 years while he served our country in the United States Army. We celebrated our 40 year married mark in 2015. I worked at various Post Exchanges overseas early on in our marriage. When we came back to the United States, in Gettysburg Pennsylvania, I worked for 5 years at a Wax Museum where I was the Assistant Manager then the Manager. Around 1987 I began working for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) at the American Embassy in Saudi Arabia as the only civilian secretary to 9 military personnel and continued working for the DIA when we returned to the States. For the next 7 years or so I worked for the DIA until we decided to have our first child. I was blessed to be able to stay at home with her until she started kindergarten. I did free lance work for Delta Airlines creating PowerPoint slides for their use in Marketing Research. I did this for about 4 years. When our daughter started kindergarten in 1999, I was blessed to be able to start working for the Oconee County School System. I started out working at the Oconee County Primary School and then moved on to work here at North Oconee High School where I have been ever since.
