My name is Bess Carter and I teach all levels of Visual Art at Oconee County High School. I began my career in Morgan County where I taught art at Morgan County Primary for nine years. I moved to High Shoals Elementary upon it’s opening in 2009. In 2016 I moved down the road to Oconee County High School where I continue to work today. Working with students to instill a love and appreciation for the Visual Arts as well as encouraging them to pursue careers in the arts is my favorite part of my job. I received my degree in Art Education in 2000 from the University of Georgia.

I am also a wife to Keith and mother to four children. They are all either currently enrolled or graduates of this awesome school system. We love being Oconee residents and have a vested interest in the success of Oconee County Schools.
