Hello, my name is Melissa Shaner and I work at both High Shoals Elementary and Colham Ferry Elementary. I am the ESOL teacher at HSES and the Title I teacher for CFES.

My second-grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher and I am so thankful she did! I get to spend my days working with students/families and helping others. It does not get any better than that!

I graduated from the University of Georgia, go Dawgs! After graduating, I moved to Watkinsville and began working at High Shoals in 2010. My family and I love being a part of the Oconee community. It is truly a blessing to live and work here!
