Hello!  My name is Carla Land, and I live here in Oconee County with my husband Rocky and my daughters Elli and Livi.  I have been teaching at MBES since 2011.   I have taught ESOL for grades K-8, EIP math and reading for grades K-5, and of course, Kindergarten.  I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching degree for Early Childhood Education (K-5) and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences degree, both from UGA.   I am also certified to teach Math and Social Studies in grades 4-8, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) K-12, and I am Gifted Certified.  I could not ask for a better profession or even a better grade level to teach.  Kindergarten always has such a wonderful group of young learners who are as eager to learn as I am to teach them.  They bring such energy and excitement to the room every time they walk through the door.  I learn new things from them all the time.  They may not know it, but they teach me how to improve as a teacher every single day, just by being the curious and imaginative learners they are.  It is so much fun just being with them and watching them learn and grow.  I am extremely blessed to be in the kindergarten classroom.  It's the best!
