¡Hola! I am Kimberly Howeth (known as Señora Howeth to my students) and am a native to the Athens area.  After realizing my heart was in learning more about the Spanish language and the culture surrounding it, I completed my Bachelor’s degree after many Spanish language courses and two separate home based study abroad experiences in Salamanca, Spain. It was after my first trip that I wanted to focus on teaching others about the language and culture. I have always wanted to teach middle schoolers and love working with them, so pursuing and completing my Master’s degree in Foreign Language was the means for me to fulfill a dream. I first came to MBMS as a student teacher in the 1998-99 school year and became the teacher in the Fall of 2000.
