BIOGRAPHY

My name is Brandon Walker, Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at Malcom Bridge. I have been teaching agriculture and advising FFA members for over 11 years. I reside here in Oconee County with my wife and two daughters. My childhood was filled with agricultural experiences, growing up on a commercial turkey and swine operation in rural Oglethorpe County as well as exhibiting cross-bred beef cattle from elementary through high school. Teaching Agriculture to our youth is about making informed consumers about the current and future agriculture industry and career fields. 'Farming' is the production element of our industry but the journey from 'Farm to Fork' takes a multitudes of jobs and skills involving high-level science, research, economics, and engineering. In my classroom and with my FFA members, I attempt to help students see the many facets of the agriculture industry and how they can be involved in making our world a better place to live.
