My name is Shannon Collier and I am completing my 30th year in education.  I am very excited to be a part of the 3rd grade team at OCES.  I have taught grades 2-8 over my career, and I have also been an Instructional Lead Teacher.  Before coming to Oconee County, I taught in Gwinnett, Morgan, and Clarke school districts.    Being a teacher has always been a blessing to me-I continue to learn and grow every day, just as I hope my students do!  It is very important to me that all students are given the opportunities that they need through differentiated instruction.  My classroom is very open and allows for a variety of learning styles and modalities.  

I am married to Steve Collier, who owns a construction company.  We have two children, Will, 28, a United States Marine, and Amelia, 26, a GBI Special Agent/Crime Scene Specialist. .  I am an animal lover and you will see pictures of our 3 dogs, a pet goat named Elmer and lots of cows and goats!
