Philip Manning

I began my teaching career in 2010 at the Houston County Career Academy in Warner Robins, Ga. While teaching at HCCA, I served as business teacher, FBLA adviser, and Work Based Learning Coordinator. I also was an assistant coach for the Middle Georgia Tech Titans basketball team during this time. After two years at HCCA, I persued an opportunity to become the boys varsity basketball head coach at Heard County High School in Franklin, Ga. During my 3 years at Heard County, I taught Advanced Algebra and Pre-Calculus. I also coached track & field for 3 years.

In the spring of 2015, I was made aware of an opening at Oconee County High School and jumped at the opportunity. Ever since my student teaching experience at OCHS in 2010, it was been my dream to become an Oconee County Warrior! I'm now entering my 5th year at OCHS. This year I will be teaching Intro to Business & Technology, Intro to Digital Technology, Financial Literacy, Principles of Accounting, Computer Science Principles, and AP Computer Science Principles. In addition to my teaching duties, I serve as the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach and FBLA Adviser. I am very excited about the upcoming school year, and am happy to answer any questions you might have about business and computer science, basketball, or FBLA!
