Mr. Richard Wehunt

I graduated from Jefferson High School in 1998. From there, I attended the University of North Georgia for two years. In 2000, I transferred to the University of Georgia where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science education. At both universities, I lettered in varsity basketball for all four seasons. Two years later, I received a master of education degree from the University of Georgia in Movement Studies/Adapted Physical Education. I also began working on my doctorate in this same content area. While I was in the UGA Graduate School, I was a teaching assistant in the physical education department where I taught basketball, racquetball, volleyball, and golf classes. I have been teaching in the special education department at Oconee County High School for 7 years.

My wife (Andrea) and I were married in 2009 and have two children; Leighton (5) and Lucas (4).
