Mrs. Alison Laurens
My name is Alison Laurens and I have been teaching since 2010. I taught kindergarten for two years in Baldwin County and first grade for three years in Gwinnett County. I worked three years for a company called Innovative Emergency Management (IEM), prior to becoming a teacher. I graduated from The University of Georgia with a BS degree in Geography (GO DAWGS!) and Mercer University with a MAT degree in early childhood education. I recieved my Specialist degree from Piedmont College in the fall of 2016. I am ESOL certified and Gifted certified. I absolutely love teaching and I’m so happy that I found my calling! My goal is to create a positive classroom environment where we work as a team to accomplish our goals.
I was born and raised in Lilburn, Georgia. I am married to my wonderful husband who is also a teacher in Oconee County. We have two beautiful daughters, Evie and Georgia. I enjoy exercising and spending time with my family at Georgia football games! My family and I love the Dawgs! I am excited to be teaching at Colham Ferry!
