Ms. Lori Slover

I was born and raised in Athens and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996--GO DAWGS!  I taught for twenty years in Clarke County before moving to High Shoals Elementary in 2016.  I have had the pleasure of teaching all grade levels (K-5). But don't bother asking me which is my favorite because each grade level has something special about it so I love them all!  Since I began at High Shoals, I have been a teacher in the Early Intervention Program.  I absolutely love providing interventions for students who need an extra push in reading and math.  Not only do I get to work with students from multiple grade levels, but I also have the opportunity to work with teachers across the grade levels as well.  Therefore I have the best job in the world!

I am blessed to be a mom to Joseph (16) and Hannah (14).  Both are students at Oconee County High School, and are involved in many extracurricular activities.  We live in Watkinsville with our two dogs, Chip and Cheeseburger, and our cat, Shoalie.
