B.S. in Special Education from The University of Alabama Gifted Certification
Hello! My name is Kayleigh Travis. May of 2013 I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Collaborative Special Education K-12 from The University of Alabama (Roll Tide.) During my college summers and for a full year after I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Camp Twin Lakes, a camp for children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. At camp my passion and knowledge for helping children with exceptionalities flourished. After my time there I moved back home and began my teaching career in 2014. I taught hearing impaired/ deaf students for 2 years in the Saraland City School System. Then I decided to make my move to Georgia and pounced at the opportunity to work in Oconee County. It is truly my passion to help children reach their full potential and become as independent as possible.
