Sandy Palmer

I graduated from Oconee County High School in 2009. I attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Special Education in 2013. I continued my education at GCSU and obtained my Masters of Education in Special Education Interrelated in 2014. I started my teaching career in Monroe County at Mary Persons High School, where I taught 9th grade special education, and later moved on to Putnam County at Putnam County Middle School.

I started teaching at Oconee County High School in 2016. Coming back to my alma mater has been a true honor and I love being home. I was honored to be recognized as Oconee County High School Teacher of the Year and Oconee County Schools District Teacher of the Year for the 2020-2021 school year. I am blessed to be able to have my dream job and love it every day! My passion is to help/support students (young adults) transition into post-high school and prepare for "real life."

I am also a full-time mom of three and a wife. I also have the joy of being the head Gymnastics coach here at OCHS. I am grateful to have the opportunity to coach! #GoWarriors

Excited for another wonderful year at OCHS! #weareone
