Mrs. Chelsey Yancey
Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mrs. Yancey moved to Georgia in 2001 to attend the University of Georgia. During her time there, she was a member of the UGA Football Cheerleading squad. GO DAWGS!
Upon graduation from UGA, Mrs. Yancey and her husband, Kevin, taught (both special education teachers) and coached (her: cheerleading/him: football, soccer, and track/field) in the Newton County and Monroe County (Forysth, GA) school systems. Mrs. Yancey has teaching experience in elementary school, middle school, and high school. In the summer of 2015, the Yancey family moved to Oconee County. Mr. Yancey is the Athletic Director and one of the Assistant Principals at OCHS. Mrs. Yancey spent the 2015-2016 school year teaching at Haymon-Morris Middle School in Barrow County and joined the wonderful faculty/staff of OCMS in the fall of 2016. Mr. and Mrs. Yancey have three of the most awesome boys: Tate, Hudson, and Cal.
