Hello! My name is Amanda Garmon, and I am so grateful to serve as a Title I/Early Intervention Program (EIP) teacher at HSES.

I am a graduate of Kennesaw State University. After graduation, I had the opportunity to become owner and director of Lakeview Academy preschool located in Eatonton, GA. In addition, I also worked at Redeemer Episcopal Academy in Eatonton for two years where I taught Kindergarten and First. Upon selling my business and moving to Oconee, I taught at Friendship preschool where I work with the terrific twos! In 2017, I accepted a teaching position at High Shoals and I've had the opportunity to earn my ESOL and Gifted endorsement. I am thankful for all of the experiences and opportunities throughout my career in education which have helped me learn how to better serve and support students!

My husband Shon is self-employed and often has to travel with his job. We have two girls, our youngest who is currently attending OCMS and our oldest, who graduated from NOHS and more recently graduated from Auburn University College of Nursing.

I am excited to continue working with a great team of people at High Shoals!
