My name is Carrie Yawn and I am proud to be a part of the 3rd grade team at Colham Ferry!  I have been teaching since 2007, earning both my Master of Arts and Educational Specialist degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as my Gifted endorsement in the process.  I am a Humanities teacher at CFES, meaning that I teach Language Arts and Social Studies.  

My husband (who is a teacher at MBMS) and I live in the Watkinsville area and have two sons and a miniature schnauzer that keep us busy! A few things I am passionate about are fostering a growth mindset in students, continuing to be a learner myself, reading, college football, Harry Potter, and fantasy baseball! I look forward to working with the amazing families of CFES this year!  Go Mustangs!
