I have taught middle school English Language Arts (ELA) since 2011.  I pursued a career as a middle school ELA teacher because I developed a passion for working with young adolescents through my involvement with various programs at the Athens YMCA.  Additionally, I believe that being effective readers and writers opens up a world of possibilities to young people.  

My wife is a teacher at Colham Ferry Elementary School.  We have lived in Watkinsville since 2011, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the great things Oconee County Schools is doing in our community.  When we are not teaching, we enjoy spending time with our two sons and our miniature schnauzer.  We also enjoy watching sports (especially UGA football), reading, and taking walks in our neighborhood.
