Steven Beebe

Steven Beebe graduated as a First Honor graduate from the University of Georgia with degrees in English and English Education as well as a minor in theater. He completed his practicum and student teaching at Madison County High School in Danielsville, Georgia. After graduation, he joined Teach For America and moved to the windy and tornadic plains of Tulsa, Oklahoma where he taught 9th, 11th, and 12th grade English and AP Literature at East Central High School. Steven also served as East Central's yearbook sponsor and speech and debate coach. As a coach, Steven led one speech student to the NSDA National Competition in 2016 and first time debaters to a championship in Tulsa's Urban Debate League in 2017. Steven is excited to be returning to the "Classic City" and teaching at Oconee County High School. He enjoys pushing students to investigate and question texts and hopes to unlock their potential as lifelong readers and writers.
