Evi (Evanthia) Christoforou

Evi Christoforou is a French teacher with experience at various levels since 2003. She moved to the US with her family in 2014 .  She has had a passion for languages ever since childhood (Greek, English, French, and German). She studied at Illinois State University (ISU), earning a BA and MA in French Literature and Pedagogy.

Earlier in her career, she taught French to undergraduate students at Illinois State University. She also taught French to junior high and high school students (ages 13-16) for ten years in an English speaking school, in Nicosia, Cyprus. Later, she taught at Sage International School (grades 6-9) in Boise-Idaho and at Clarke Middle School. In 2017 she joined the OCHS family and she very much enjoys teaching here.

Her passion for learning about other cultures and their languages has led her to travel to many countries around the world, especially in Europe. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, reading, baking, making jewelry, playing the guitar, and spending time with her family.
