Dr. Kristen Donaldson

Dr. Kristen Donaldson is the Director of Choirs at Oconee County Middle School in Watkinsville, GA. She also serves as the Choirmaster at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Monroe, GA and board member for the Walton County Music Guild. For eight years, Dr. Donaldson served as the Director of Choirs and AP Music Theory teacher at George Walton Academy in Monroe, GA. She has also served as a Choir Organizer for GMEA Statewide Honor Chorus. 

Dr. Donaldson received her B.A. in Vocal Performance from Asbury University and her M.M. in Choral Conducting from the University of Kentucky under the direction of Dr. Jefferson Johnson. She recently received her Ed.D. in Music Education from the University of Georgia. 

Choirs under Dr. Donaldson's direction have received first place/superior ratings in various state music competitions, including state Literary. Students under her direction have placed first invarious region and state solo competitions and have performed in GMEA Elementary Honor Chorus, Sixth Grade Statewide Honor Chorus, and All-State Chorus. Dr. Donaldson's choirs have performed and toured throughout the United States and Europe. Favorite venues for these performances have included Carnegie Hall and St. John Divine Cathedral in New York City, St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, The Monastery of St. Francis Assisi in Italy, and the American Cathedral in Paris.

Dr. Donaldson is looking forward to teaching the talented students at Oconee County Middle School this year!
