Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome friends! I'm so excited about our school year together. We will work on lots of new learning, become better problem solvers, deep thinkers, and have lots of fun. Second grade is so fun and I am ready to share our time together!
I grew up in South Georgia but moved to Gwinnett County, Georgia, in 6th grade. From there I went to highschool at Brookwood High School (Go Broncos!) and then on to Valdosta State University (Go Blazers!) where I earned my Early Childhood Education degree. After college I moved back to Snellville, GA and began my teaching career at Knight Elementary School in Lilburn, GA. At Knight, I taught first grade for MANY years and then moved into the computer lab where I was teaching the Technology Special. Years after my college graduation, I received my Masters degree from Piedmont College in Early Childhood Education and also got certified in Gifted Education. I love working with students and cannot wait to work with my second graders this year at DCES!
My husband, Casey, teaches middle school at Oconee Middle School. He works with 6-8th graders everyday. He also coaches football. We have one four legged baby, (dog) Gracie. When Mr. Radford and I are not teaching we are usually busy visiting with friends, working on our house, cooking, shopping, or during football season, cheering on our DAWGS! You can find us at every home game between the hedges.
Please let me know what I can do to support your family in any way. I am always here for you!
