Ms. Amy Nix
Amy is thrilled to be back at Colham Ferry Elementary School, after attending as a student. She is a fifth grade homeroom and humanities teacher. She graduated with her first two degrees from Georgia College, both in Early Childhood Education with a special emphasis in School Improvement. Then she completed her Specialist's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kennesaw State University. Amy also holds a gifted endorsement and her leadership certificate, and is working on her ESOL endorsement. Previously, she has taught in Barrow and Clayton counties. She is passionate about meeting the needs of all of her students, building relationships, active learning, and challenging all learners. In her spare time, Amy loves to spend time serving her church, volunteering within the community, reading, being outdoors, gardening, spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Dawgs, and traveling when she can.
