Karen Phillips is the art teacher at Dove Creek Elementary School. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education as well as a Masters in Art Education degree from the University of Georgia. She studied art abroad in both Cortona, Italy and in Normandy, France. She uses her love for travel and art history to help students get into learning about artists and cultures from around the world. Before teaching at Dove Creek, she taught in Walton County and has been teaching art since 2002. Mrs. Phillips is a painter, photographer, and tap dancer. She enjoys learning about and making many different types of art!
