Mrs.  Abby Thurston grew up in Oconee County schools and is a North Oconee High School alumni.  After high school, she attended Piedmont College where she received a B.A. in Middle Grades Education, a Masters in Secondary Education-  Science, and her Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction.  She began her teaching career in Gwinnett, where she taught middle school science for four years.  She joined the MBMS family in 2018.  She coaches sideline cheerleading at MBMS and NOHS. In 2019, Mrs. Thurston was named the MBMS and OCS District Teacher of the Year.  Mrs.Thurston is currently teaching 7th and 8th grade science at MBMS. She is proud to be an educator in Oconee county!!
