Devon Fischer

Devon graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 2012 with two degrees in Spanish and in Linguistics. While working towards her degrees, she was able to study abroad in Valencia, Spain where her love for the Spanish culture began. Also while working towards her degrees, Devon was given the opportunity to teach English to Spanish-speaking adults in Athens. After graduation, Devon traveled to Los Muermos, Chile to teach English to students from Pre-K to 8th grade. 


In August of 2015, Devon began working towards her Masters degree in Spanish Linguistics. While in her Masters program, she taught Spanish 1110 at the University of Georgia for two years until graduating in May of 2017. After graduation, Devon started her teaching career at Bear Creek Middle School in Statham, GA where she taught Spanish 1 and exploratory Spanish. She has also worked as a translator for a nutrition company, translating documents from English into Spanish. In the Fall of 2018, Devon began teaching Spanish 1, 2, and 3 at North Oconee High School. She has also been working towards her doctorate in Linguistics since Fall 2019.
