Ms. Lindsey Lovette
Lindsey grew up in Oconee County, graduating from OCHS in 1999, where she began her Latin studies. After graduating from The University of Georgia in 2002 with a B.A. in Latin, Lindsey began her teaching career at Shiloh High School, teaching Latin I-IV, SAT Prep (Verbal), and Teaching as a Profession. After returning to graduate school in 2009 and earning her MAT in World Language Education at The University of Georgia, Lindsey returned to Gwinnett County and taught Latin I-AP at Archer High School from 2011-2018. She came to North Oconee in the Fall of 2018 to teach Latin I-AP. In the Spring of 2023, Lindsey completed her Education Specialist in Instructional Technology at Valdosta State University. She has traveled to Italy with her students and had an active JCL chapter that traveled throughout the country participating in activites that promoted the study of Latin, Greek, and Classical culture.
Lindsey enjoys traveling, knitting, and true crime stories. She has traveled to England, Italy, Greece, and Turkey, and hopes to add Germany to the list in the near future. She is looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of the students at North Oconee this year, and establishing an active JCL and Latin Honor Society chapter at the school this year.
