Mrs. Katie Camp

She has been teaching since 2013. She spent 5 years as a Special Education Teacher in Gwinnett County. She started her special education teaching as an Interrelated Resource teacher. After 3 years she moved into the role of a self-contained Mild Intellectual Disabilty teacher. For the the 2018-2019 school year she served as an SST coordinator, supporting students and and teachers with implementing interventions in the classroom. 

She attended the University of Georgia, where she got a degree in Housing and Consumer Economics. After graduating, she recieved a job as a special eduaction paraprofessional and fell in love with the profession. She then attended Walden University and recieved her Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. 

She has two young children that attend Oconee County schools. She is very excited to be a part of the High Shoals family!
