Courtney Kerlin
My name is Courtney Kerlin, and I teach 4th grade at High Shoals Elementary. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with my Bachelor's and Master's in Early Childhood Education. Go Owls! I started teaching in 2012 in Newton County Schools in both 3rd and 4th grades, and I've been in Oconee County since 2019. I've taught all subjects, but I'm excited to continue to focus on reading and writing this year.
My husband, Ben, and I were married in March 2018 and live in Social Circle. We have a toddler, Avery, who keeps us on our toes, and we have another little boy on the way in June.
I'm honored to be a part of the High Shoals family and bring passion, encouragement, and high expectations to the team. I want to help my students become lifelong learners, and I believe it starts right here in the classroom.
