Hello, I am Heather Bui, and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at DCES. I have been teaching elementary school since 2009. This will be my 14th year as an educator, and I have also taught in Barrow County, Georgia and in the Madison City school district in Madison, Alabama. I have experience teaching Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade in the classroom and also working as a support teacher providing ESOL and Title I Math interventions. I have taught Kindergarten for 6 years during my career, and it is my absolute favorite grade to teach! 

I am a Triple Dawg from the University of Georgia obtaining my Bachelor's (2009) and Master's (2012) degrees in Early Childhood Education and my Specialist (Ed.S.- 2016) degree in Language and Literacy Education with an emphasis in Pre-k through 5th grade from UGA, as well. Throughout my educational journey, I have also obtained several endorsements including: Early Childhood Mathematics, ESOL, Reading, and Gifted. I live in Bethlehem with my 3-year-old son, Lincoln, and our pomeranian, Lexi. We enjoy playing outside, watch UGA football, reading, and snuggling together!
