Rocky Branch Elementary School is recognized as a certified National School of Character by Character.org and is only one of two schools in Georgia with this certification. RBES was originally certified in 2015 and received recertification status in 2020.  Character.org is widely known for its 11 Principles Framework for Schools: A Guide to Cultivating a Character-Inspired Culture, a comprehensive framework developed by school leaders and character education researchers.

Based on these principles, RBES has put into place a comprehensive approach that inspires students to understand, care about, and consistently practice a set of core values that will enable them to flourish in school, in relationships, in the workplace, and as citizens.
