Not only am I blessed to have a career that I love and am passionate about, but I am also fortunate to work with an amazing team of educators, students, and families.
After earning my Bachelors of Science in Interrelated Special Education at Augusta University in 2001, I began teaching in Columbia County, Georgia. In 2014, I completed a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Autism at Arizona State University. I moved to this area in 2016 and completed my Educational Specialist degree in Special Education from the University of West Georgia. Before coming to Malcom Bridge Middle School, I was a proud Wildcat at Apalachee High School in Barrow County for five years where I taught English and Special Education.
On a more personal note: I am a connoisseur of coffee and chocolate. I enjoy spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains. I love the arts including theater, art, and music. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, and football is my favorite sport. My husband and I have five children and a beautiful husky named Zoe.
I look forward to a great year!
