Degrees and Certifications:
I started teaching at North Oconee High School in 2021. My K-12 experience spans 20 years, with a focus on science education at the high school level and K-12 STEM teaching and learning. Prior to my first year teaching students at NOHS, I taught Honors Chemistry, Chemistry, and Advanced Placement Chemistry, primarily, as well as secondary courses such as Physical Science, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Physics. On the leadership front, I worked as an Assistant Principal of a career academy, STEM Coordinator, Program Director, and as the founder of an educational services company, supporting schools, leaders, and teachers throughout Georgia. My academic training is in Instructional Technology, Science Education, and Psychology (EdS, MEd, BS from UGA) as well as Educational Leadership (EdD from Penn this year). My philosophy of education is one where teaching and learning connects across fields and disciplines and connects to both industry and what kids experience in their own lives everyday. I'm thrilled to be teaching students in Oconee County at NOHS. Go Titans!
