Vernellia Wade

Mrs. Vernellia Wade is thrilled to be teaching first grade. She has more than twenty years of experience in teaching second grade, gifted, and third grade. Vernellia Wade holds a degree in elementary education from Valdosta State University, a Master’s degree from Georgia Southwestern State University,  a Specialist degree from Brenau University, and a Doctorate degree from Brenau University. Additionally, she has acquired endorsements in the areas of reading, ESOL, and gifted.

Mrs. Wade’s primary goals as an educator are to improve students' learning by using hands-on, student-initiated activities, encourage inquisitiveness by stressing responsibility and thought, as well as stimulating students to become creative thinkers and problem solvers. Mrs. Wade looks forward to educating and learning from the OCPS Little Chiefs.
