Amy Carter

I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's in Child and Family Development then earned my Elementary and Middle Grades Teaching Certification at Brenau University. Later, I achieved my Masters in Science Education from Walden University. Most recently, I completed programs to earn both my Gifted and Dyslexia endorsements.

I have 18 years of educational experience, including teaching 2nd and 5th grades, 6th-8th grade Math 180, and six years as an MTSS/504/Data Specialist. I am excited to combine my love of science and passion to make learning encouraging and fun as a science teacher at Oconee Middle!

My husband and I have two children, both in the Oconee County School system. With any spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, DIY projects, hiking (or anything outdoors), cheering for the Dawgs and Atlanta Braves, and of course spending time with family and friends. I am so excited to teach your child this year!
