Hello, my name is Wendy Whaley and I am thrilled to teach Kindergarten at Dove Creek! I am originally from Georgia, and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and my master’s degree from Mercer University. I began my career teaching Kindergarten in DeKalb County. I have also taught at the university level in the College of Education and the Center for English Language Education at Northwest University in Seattle, where my family and I lived for several years. During that time, I also had the privilege of mentoring student teachers in the field. Since then, we have loved living in Oconee! My husband and I have been married since 2002 and have four children who attend North Oconee High, Malcom Bridge Middle, Dove Creek, and Mars Hill Preschool. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher, and I cannot wait to see how much they learn and grow this year!
