Dr. Aaron Stinson

I began my teaching career in 2008 as a social studies teacher in Clarke County, working with students from 6th-8th Grade in 2016 I transferred to Barrow county as a social studies and science teacher. I completed my Doctorate in Education in 2019 with the completion of a dissertation on Educational Stakeholders Perception of Cyberbullying. My goal as an educator is for students to become lifelong learners; learners who question the questionable, study the obvious, and develop the skills of listening to various ideas with understanding before giving a well constructive and educated response.  Students today have the challenge of living in a global culture that is changing at a pace faster than at any time in history. They are engaged in new standards, new technology, and new national expectations for performance. As a teacher, it is my desire to take all of those domains, contents, and expectations and show students how they have current global implications that are applicable and relevant to their lives and guide them in achieving academic mastery over those contents.
