Layla Burden is the Visual Art Teacher at Dove Creek Middle School. She earned her degree in Art Education from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art in 2009 with a specialty in the art of printmaking. She taught for 10 years in Gwinnett County Schools before returning to Oconee County where she grew up and attended school K-12. Mrs. Burden loves helping middle school students discover their creative voice through making many different types of artwork including drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. Mrs. Burden loves to create portraits in her spare time, and also enjoys cooking and gardening!
